Andrea Bocelli Heading to the UK and Ireland on Tour

Legendary multi-platinum selling tenor Andrea Bocelli will be touring the UK and Ireland this Autumn, performing 2 nights at 3Arena in Dublin on the 30th & 31st October, before heading to London’s O2 Arena on the 2nd & 3rd November. These 2 shows will come a week after the release of Andrea’s 16th studio album Si, which sees the Grammy & Oscar-nominated singer team up with the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban and Aida Garifullina.

He has reached two major digital landmarks: he’s been awarded YouTube’s prestigious ‘Gold Play’ button for 1 million subscribers, and he’s achieved over 15 million views in a fortnight across all platforms for his new music video ‘Fall On Me’ – a poignant duet with his son Matteo Bocelli.

Fans of the Italian tenor can expect the live show to feature arias from the most famous operas and the popular repertoire from his career, spanning 16 studio albums. He will be joined by the queen of British Soul Beverly Knight and world-class coloratura soprano Sumi Jo for the 4 concerts.

Andrea Bocelli, who turned 60 this last week, has brought together family and friends for his new album. It was recorded at his home in Italy and produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Thirty Seconds To Mars, etc) and includes a song produced by Mauro Malavasi and another one by Andrea’s oldest friend, Pierpaolo Guerrini. As well as a duet with Matteo, Andrea’s other son, Amos Bocelli, performs piano on the acoustic version of the track ‘Sono Qui’ (I Am Here) and Ali di Libertà. There is also a song called ‘Vivo’, which is an emotional homage to his wife Veronica. ‘If Only’ (his duet with Dua Lipa) was co-written by Francesco Sartori and the late Lucio Quarantotto – who helped pen one of Bocelli’s biggest hits, ‘Con Te Partirò’ (Time To Say Goodbye), which was released over 20 years ago and has become of the classical best-selling singles of all time.

One of the biggest selling solo classical artist of all time with over 80 million worldwide album sales, Bocelli has performed for four US Presidents, two Popes and many Royal families across the world, as well as at high-profile ceremonies for the Olympic Games and the World Cup. The Maestro has countless music awards to his name over past 25 years in music and even boasts a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which he received in 2010 for his contribution to live theatre. More recently, the Italian collaborated with global superstar, Ed Sheeran, for an orchestral version of Ed’s single ‘Perfect’ on which the duo both sing in Italian.
